Important Considerations for Using Aerosol Color Coat in Santa Fe

• Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for drastic color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until twenty-four hours after applying.
• Aerosol Color Coat is made prepped for spraying.
• Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth surface they need SEM Tac Free.
• For matched colors, consider our line of SEM Color Coat in a one-quart cone top, and a one gallon can.

Preparing Substrates for Use with Aerosol Color Coat in Santa Fe

• To prepare for applying Aerosol Color Coat, you will need additional SEM cleaners and adhesion promoters, depending on the substrate.
• For cleaning plastic and vinyl, use SEM Soap and XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• For cleaning carpet and velour, use an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleanser and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first identify the type of plastic. With PVC and ABS plastics use SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, EPDM, PP and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow instructions closely to guarantee the best outcomes.
