Color Coat™ is a fade-resistant, versatile, long-lasting coating that renews or changes the color of most all velour, vinyl, carpet, and plastic. Color Coat High Gloss comes in 4 different cans: 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top and one gallon. Color Coat is OEM recommended and available with a variety of colors, three different clear coats and thousands of OEM mixing formulas. Considerations for Using Color Coat in High Gloss

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still should not be applied for significantly different color changes.
• Color Coat is quick drying, but should not be subjected to heavy use or abrasion for twenty-four hours after application.
• Color Coat is prepped to apply, right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener can be applied with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with large amounts of plasticizers can require SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

Preparing Surfaces for Application with Color Coat in High Gloss

• For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scrubber.
• For carpet and velour, clean the substrate using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleanser.
• Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To encourage adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM offers Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, TPO, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
