Color Coat™ is a fade-resistant, flexible, long-lasting coating that renews or changes the color of carpet, vinyl, plastic, and velour. Color Coat High Gloss Clear (SEM SKU 13006) comes in two different can types: the one-quart cone top and the one gallon can. Color Coat is OEM suggested and manufactured with 50 distinct colors, 2 different clear coats, and thousands of OEM mixing formulas. Considerations for Using Color Coat in High Gloss Clear

• Color Coat is a coating as its name suggests, and not a dye, so it is not recommended for distinctly different color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to scraping or heavy use until 24 hours after application.
• There is no necessity to thin Color Coat. It is made prepped to spray.
• Vinyls can have high amounts of plasticizers. If yours does, SEM Tac Free should be used for a smooth finish.
• Color Coat Flattener may be used with all Color Coat intermix formulas to ensure a closer match with the original color.

Preparing Surfaces for Application with Color Coat in High Gloss Clear

To prepare for using Color Coat, you will require additional SEM cleansers and adhesion promoters, based on the surface.

• For cleaning vinyl and plastic, apply SEM Soap or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner and Vinyl Prep or Plastic and Leather Prep .
• For cleaning velour and carpet, apply an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first identify the type of plastic. With PVC or ABS plastics apply SEM Sand Free Adhesion promoter. For EPDM, TPO, PP and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow instructions closely to ensure quality outcomes.
