Facts About Aerosol Color Coat in Saddle Tan
- Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for significantly different color changes.
- Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subject to scraping or heavy use until 24 hours after applying.
- Aerosol Color Coat is made ready for spraying.
- Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth surface they need SEM Tac Free.
- For mixed colors, consider our line of SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.
Preparing Substrates for Application with Aerosol Color Coat in Saddle Tan
- For plastic and vinyl, always use SEM Soap to clean the substrate by using a grey scruff pad.
- For velour and carpet, clean the surface using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
- Clean vinyl once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
- Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
- Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
- To guarantee adhesion on PVC or ABS plastics, SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, PP, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
- Always follow the directions for applying each of these products to guarantee quality results.
