Important Considerations for Using Aerosol Color Coat in Firethorn Red

• Aerosol Color Coat is not a dye, so should not be used for significantly different color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat is fast drying but should not be subjected to heavy use or abrasion for twenty-four hours after application.
• Aerosol Color Coat is prepped for spraying, right out of the can.
• Vinyls with high amounts of plasticizers may require SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
• When you need a custom color, consider using SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.

How to Prepare for Aerosol Color Coat in Firethorn Red

• For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scrubber.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner.
• Clean vinyl once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To encourage adhesion on ABS and PVC plastics, SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, TPO, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the directions for applying each of these products to ensure the best possible outcomes.
