Important Considerations for Applying Aerosol Color Coat in Graphite

• Aerosol Color Coat isn’t a dye so should not be used for drastic color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subjected to heavy use or abrasion for 24 hours after application.
• Aerosol Color Coat is prepped to spray, right out of the can.
• Vinyls with excessive amounts of plasticizers can require SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
• If you require a custom color, consider using SEM Color Coat in the one quart cone top, and the one gallon can.

Preparing Substrates for Use of Aerosol Color Coat in Graphite

• For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the surface with a grey scruff pad.
• For carpet and velour, clean the substrate using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
• Clean vinyl once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on ABS and PVC plastics, SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For EPDM, PP, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the instructions for using each of these products to ensure professional outcomes.
