Facts About Aerosol Color Coat in Gloss Black

• Aerosol Color Coat is not a dye so shouldn’t be used for distinctly different color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat is quick drying but should not be subjected to heavy use or scraping for 24 hours after application.
• Aerosol Color Coat is prepped for spraying, right out of the can.
• Vinyls with excessive amounts of plasticizers can need SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
• When you require a mixed color, try using SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.

Prepping Surfaces for Application with Aerosol Color Coat in Gloss Black

• For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the surface by using a grey scruff pad.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface by using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner.
• Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic again with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To encourage adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the directions for using each of these products to guarantee the best possible results.
