Important Considerations for Applying Aerosol Color Coat in Monterey

• Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for significantly different color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until twenty-four hours after applying.
• Aerosol Color Coat is made ready for spraying.
• Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they need SEM Tac Free.
• For matched colors, try our line of SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.

Preparing Surfaces for Application of Aerosol Color Coat in Monterey

• For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the surface using a grey scrubber.
• For velour and carpet, clean the substrate with an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner.
• Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean carpet and velour again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For EPDM, PP, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the instructions for applying each of these products to guarantee the best outcomes.
