Facts About Aerosol Color Coat in Portola Red

• Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for distinctly different color changes.
• Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but shouldn’t be subject to scraping or heavy use until twenty-four hours after applying.
• Aerosol Color Coat is made ready to spray.
• Vinyls can have high amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they require SEM Tac Free.
• For matched colors, try our line of SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.

Preparing Surfaces for Application with Aerosol Color Coat in Portola Red

• For plastic and vinyl, always use SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scruff pad.
• For carpet and velour, clean the surface using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner.
• Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean carpet and velour again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To promote adhesion on PVC or ABS plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, PP, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the directions for using each of these products to ensure the best possible results.
