Improve and Refinish with Aerosol Color Coat™ in Titanium Metallic
Color Coat™ is a UV-resistant, flexible, permanent coating to revitalize or change the color of most all plastic, carpet, vinyl, and velour. Aerosol Color Coat Titanium Metallic (SEM SKU 15253) is offered in aerosol cans for simple application. Color Coat is OEM recommended and manufactured with 50 different colors and three different clear coats. Revitalize auto interiors and even motorcycle seats using Aerosol Color Coat. When you need flexibility for refinishing damaged or faded vehicle exteriors or interiors, select Color Coat by SEM!
Important Considerations for Applying Aerosol Color Coat in Titanium Metallic
- Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for significantly different color changes.
- Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until twenty-four hours after applying.
- Aerosol Color Coat is made prepped for spraying.
- Vinyls can have high amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they require SEM Tac Free.
- For custom colors, try our line of SEM Color Coat in the one quart cone top, and the one gallon can.
How to Prepare for Aerosol Color Coat in Titanium Metallic
- For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the surface by using a grey scruff pad.
- For carpet and velour, clean the surface by using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleanser.
- Clean vinyl once more with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
- Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
- Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
- To promote adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM offers Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
- Always follow the directions for applying each of these products to ensure the best possible results.
