Color Coat™ is a fade-resistant, flexible, long-lasting coating to restore or change the color of most velour, plastic, vinyl, and carpet. Color Coat Landau Black (SEM SKU 15011) is available in two different can types: the one-quart cone top, and the one gallon can. Color Coat is OEM suggested and offered with fifty different colors, 2 different clear coats and 1,000s of OEM mixing formulas. Refinish auto interiors and even motorcycle seats using Color Coat. If you need flexibility for refinishing damaged or faded vehicle exteriors or interiors, choose Color Coat by SEM!

Considerations for Using Color Coat in Landau Black

• Color Coat is a coating as its name suggests, and not a dye, so it is not recommended for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until twenty-four hours after application.
• There is no need to thin Color Coat; it is made ready to spray.
• Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If your vinyl does, then we recommend SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
• Color Coat Flattener may be used with all Color Coat intermix formulas to ensure a closer match with the OEM color.

Prepping Surfaces for Use of Color Coat in Landau Black

• For vinyl and plastic, always use SEM Soap to clean the surface using a grey scruff pad.
• For velour and carpet, clean the substrate by using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
• Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean carpet and velour again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the instructions for using each of these products to guarantee best outcomes.
