OEM recommended, Color Coat provides fifty distinct colors and three different clear coats that may also be mixed to allow 1,000s of OEM color choices in matched formulas. Color Coat in Fast Blue is available in two different types of cans: a one-quart cone top and a one gallon can. Color Coat’s quality lets you revitalize automotive interiors, and its durability even lets you apply Color Coat to motorcycle seats. Important Facts About Color Coat in Fast Blue
- Color Coat is not a dye and shouldn’t be used for significantly different color changes.
- Color Coat is fast drying but should not be subject to heavy use or abrasion for twenty-four hours after applying.
- Color Coat is ready for spraying, right out of the can.
- Color Coat Flattener can be applied with any Color Coat intermix formulas.
- Vinyls with high amounts of plasticizers may need SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
Prepping Surfaces for Application with Color Coat in Fast Blue
- For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the surface with a grey scrubber.
- For velour and carpet, clean the substrate by using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner.
- Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
- Clean plastic once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
- Clean velour and carpet again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
- To promote adhesion on ABS and PVC plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, TPO, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for applying each of these products to ensure the best outcomes.
