Important Facts About Color Coat in Fast Red

• Because Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for distinctly different color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but shouldn’t be subjected to or heavy use until twenty-four hours after application.
• There is no requirement to thin Color Coat as it is made prepped for spraying.
• Vinyls can have high amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth surface they require SEM Tac Free.
• Color Coat Flattener can be applied with any Color Coat intermix formulas to guarantee a closer match with the original color.

Preparing Surfaces for Use of Color Coat in Fast Red

• For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate by using a grey scruff pad.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface by using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
• Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To promote adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Always follow the manufacturer’s directions for using each of these products to guarantee the best outcomes.
