Considerations for Using Color Coat in Light Buckskin

• Color Coat isn’t a dye so shouldn’t be applied for significantly different color changes.
• Color Coat is quick drying but should not be subjected to heavy use or scraping for twenty-four hours after applying.
• Color Coat is prepped for spraying, right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener can be used with any Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with large amounts of plasticizers might require SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

Prepping Surfaces for Application with Color Coat in Light Buckskin

• To prepare for using Color Coat, you will need additional SEM cleansers and adhesion promoters, based on the substrate.
• For cleaning vinyl and plastic, apply SEM Soap and Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• For cleaning carpet and velour, apply an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first identify the type of plastic. With PVC or ABS plastics use SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, EPDM, PP and other thermoplastics, apply XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow manufacturer’s directions closely to ensure professional outcomes.
