Use Color Coat™in Low Luster when you need a mixable, UV resistant, and permanent coating to revitalize or change the color of plastic, carpet, vinyl, and velour. OEM recommended, Color Coat offers a variety of colors and three different clear coats that can also be mixed to provide 1000s of OEM color options in matched formulas. Color Coat in Low Luster is shipped in 4 different can types: one gallon, 1 quart cone top, 16 oz cone top, and 8 oz cone top. Considerations for Applying Color Coat in Low Luster

• Color Coat isn’t a dye, but it still shouldn’t be applied for distinctly different color changes.
• Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subject to heavy use or abrasion for 24 hours after applying.
• Color Coat is prepped to use right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener can be applied with all Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with excessive amounts of plasticizers can require SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

Prepping Substrates for Use of Color Coat in Low Luster

• To prepare for using Color Coat, you will need additional SEM cleaners and adhesion promoters based on the substrate.
• For cleaning vinyl and plastic, use SEM Soap and Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• For cleaning carpet and velour, use an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleanser and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first determine the kind of plastic. With ABS or PVC plastics use SEM Sand Free Adhesion promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow manufacturer’s directions closely to ensure the best results.
