Color Coat in Low Luster Clear (SEM SKU 13026) is sold in two different types of cans: the one-quart cone top and the one gallon can. Color Coat’s pro quality lets you refinish car interiors, and its durability even lets you apply Color Coat to motorcycle seats. Important Facts About Color Coat in Low Luster Clear
- Color Coat isn’t a dye and shouldn’t be applied for significantly different color changes.
- Color Coat is quick drying but should not be subject to heavy use or for 24 hours after application.
- Color Coat is prepped for spraying, right out of the can.
- Color Coat Flattener may be used with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas.
- Vinyls with large amounts of plasticizers may require SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.
How to Prep for Color Coat in Low Luster Clear
- For vinyl and plastic, always use SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scrubber.
- For velour and carpet, clean the substrate by using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
- Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
- Clean plastic once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
- Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
- To guarantee adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s directions for using each of these products to ensure the best results.
