Facts About Aerosol Color Coat in Sailcloth White
- Because Aerosol Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for distinctly different color changes.
- Aerosol Color Coat dries quickly but shouldn’t be subjected to scraping or heavy use until 24 hours after application.
- Aerosol Color Coat is made prepped for spraying.
- Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth surface they need SEM Tac Free.
- For matched colors, consider our line of SEM Color Coat in a one quart cone top, and a one gallon can.
Prepping Substrates for Use with Aerosol Color Coat in Sailcloth White
- For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate with a grey scruff pad.
- For velour and carpet, clean the substrate with an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner.
- Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
- Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
- Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
- To guarantee adhesion on PVC or ABS plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For EPDM, TPO, PP and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
- Always follow the instructions for applying each of these products to guarantee professional results.
