Color Coat in Tinting White is available in 4 different can types: one gallon, 1 quart cone top, 16 oz cone top, and 8 oz cone top. Considerations for Using Color Coat in Tinting White

• Even though Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subject to scraping or heavy use until 24 hours after applying.
• There is no need to thin Color Coat. It is made prepped to apply.
• Vinyls can have high amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they need SEM Tac Free.
• Color Coat Flattener may be applied with all Color Coat intermix formulas to guarantee a closer match with the OEM color.

Preparing Surfaces for Use with Color Coat in Tinting White

• For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scrubber.
• For carpet and velour, clean the surface using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner
• Clean vinyl again with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on PVC and ABS plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
