Color Coat™ is a UV resistant, versatile, permanent coating to revitalize or change the color of most all velour, vinyl, plastic, and carpet. Color Coat Fast Red is available in 4 different can types: 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top and one gallon. Color Coat is OEM suggested and manufactured with an assortment of colors, three different clear coats and 1000s of OEM mixing formulas. Considerations for Applying Color Coat in Fast Red

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still shouldn’t be used for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subjected to heavy use or scraping for twenty-four hours after applying.
• Color Coat is prepped to apply right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener may be used with any Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with excess amounts of plasticizers might need SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.

How to Prep for Color Coat in Fast Red

• For vinyl and plastic, always use SEM Soap to clean the substrate with a grey scruff pad.
• For carpet and velour, clean the substrate by using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleanser
• Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean carpet and velour once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To encourage adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM offers Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, PP, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
