Important Facts About Color Coat in Yellow Oxide

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still shouldn’t be used for distinctly different color changes.
• Color Coat is quick drying but shouldn’t be subject to heavy use or abrasion for twenty-four hours after application.
• Color Coat is ready to apply right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener may be used with any Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with high amounts of plasticizers may require SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

How to Prepare for Color Coat in Yellow Oxide

• To prep for applying Color Coat, you will need other SEM cleansers and adhesion promoters based on the substrate.
• For cleaning plastic and vinyl, apply SEM Soap and Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• For cleaning carpet and velour, use an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first determine the type of plastic. With ABS and PVC plastics use SEM Sand Free Adhesion promoter. For EPDM, PP, TPO and other thermoplastics, apply Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow manufacturer’s directions closely to ensure quality outcomes.
