Important Facts About Color Coat in Fast Blue

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still shouldn’t be used for significantly different color changes.
• Color Coat is quick drying but should not be subject to heavy use or scraping for 24 hours after application.
• Color Coat is ready to apply right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener can be applied with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with high amounts of plasticizers may require SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

Prepping Substrates for Application with Color Coat in Fast Blue

• For vinyl and plastic, always use SEM Soap to clean the surface with a grey scrubber.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface by using an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleanser
• Clean vinyl once more with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic again with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean carpet and velour again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
