Color Coat™ is a UV-resistant, mixable, permanent coating to revitalize or change the color of most all carpet, vinyl, velour, and plastic. Color Coat Light Buckskin is available in four different can types: 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top and one gallon. Color Coat is OEM recommended and manufactured with a variety of colors, 3 different clear coats and thousands of OEM mixing formulas. Considerations for Using Color Coat in Light Buckskin

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still should not be applied for significantly different color changes.
• Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subjected to heavy use or abrasion for 24 hours after application.
• Color Coat is prepped to apply right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener may be applied with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with excess amounts of plasticizers can need SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.

Preparing Substrates for Use with Color Coat in Light Buckskin

• For plastic and vinyl, always use SEM Soap to clean the surface using a grey scrubber.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface with an appropriate upholstery or carpet cleaner
• Clean vinyl once more with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean velour and carpet again with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To promote adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, EPDM, PP and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
