OEM recommended, Color Coat offers a number of colors and three different clear coats that may also be mixed to offer thousands of OEM color options in matched formulas. Color Coat in Low Luster Clear comes in four different types of cans: 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top and one gallon. Important Facts About Color Coat in Low Luster Clear

• Even though Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but shouldn’t be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until 24 hours after applying.
• There is no need for thinning Color Coat. It is made ready to apply.
• Vinyls can have excessive amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth surface they need SEM Tac Free.
• Color Coat Flattener may be applied with any Color Coat intermix formulas to ensure a close match with the OEM color.

Prepping Surfaces for Use with Color Coat in Low Luster Clear

• To prep for applying Color Coat, you will require other SEM cleansers and adhesion promoters depending on the surface.
• For cleaning plastic and vinyl, apply SEM Soap and XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• For cleaning velour and carpet, use an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleanser and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first identify the kind of plastic. With PVC and ABS plastics use SEM Sand Free Adhesion promoter. For TPO, PP, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow manufacturer’s instructions closely to ensure professional results.
