Considerations for Using Color Coat in Fast Yellow

• Color Coat is not a dye, but it still shouldn’t be applied for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subjected to heavy use or scraping for 24 hours after applying.
• Color Coat is ready to apply right out of the can.
• Color Coat Flattener can be used with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas.
• Vinyls with large amounts of plasticizers might need SEM Tac Free for a smooth surface.

How to Prepare for Color Coat in Fast Yellow

• To prepare for using Color Coat, you will require other SEM cleansers and adhesion promoters depending on the substrate.
• For cleaning vinyl and plastic, apply SEM Soap and Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• For cleaning carpet and velour, use an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleanser and SEM Plastic and Leather Prep.
• For plastics, first identify the type of plastic. With PVC and ABS plastics apply SEM Sand Free Adhesion promoter. For PP, TPO, EPDM and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
• Follow manufacturer’s instructions closely to guarantee quality outcomes.
