Use Color Coat™in Fast Yellow if you need a flexible, fade resistant, and permanent coating to restore or change the color of velour, vinyl, carpet, and plastic. OEM suggested, Color Coat features a number of colors and 3 different clear coats that may also be mixed to allow 1000s of OEM color choices in matched formulas. Color Coat in Fast Yellow is sold in 4 different cans: 8 oz cone top, 16 oz cone top, 1 quart cone top, and one gallon. Color Coat’s outstanding quality lets you renew vehicle interiors, and its permanence even lets you apply Color Coat to motorcycle seats. Important Facts About Color Coat in Fast Yellow

  • Color Coat isn’t a dye, but it still shouldn’t be used for drastic color changes.
  • Color Coat is fast drying but shouldn’t be subject to heavy use or scraping for 24 hours after applying.
  • Color Coat is ready to apply right out from the can.
  • Color Coat Flattener can be applied with all Color Coat intermix formulas.
  • Vinyls with excess amounts of plasticizers may need SEM Tac Free for a smooth finish.

How to Prepare for Color Coat in Fast Yellow

  • For plastic and vinyl, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate with a grey scrubber.
  • For velour and carpet, clean the substrate using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleanser
  • Clean vinyl once more with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
  • Clean plastic once more with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
  • Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
  • To guarantee adhesion on ABS or PVC plastics, SEM provides Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
