Color Coat™ is a fade-resistant, flexible, permanent coating that restores or changes the color of majority of velour, plastic, carpet, and vinyl. Color Coat Yellow Oxide is shipped in 4 different cans: 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top and one gallon. Color Coat is OEM recommended and manufactured with a number of colors, three different clear coats and 1000s of OEM mixing formulas. Renew car interiors and even motorcycle seats using Color Coat. Considerations for Using Color Coat in Yellow Oxide

• Even though Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for drastic color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but shouldn’t be subjected to abrasion or heavy use until twenty-four hours after application.
• There is no need to thin Color Coat. It is made ready to apply.
• Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they need SEM Tac Free.
• Color Coat Flattener may be applied with any and all Color Coat intermix formulas to guarantee a closer match with the OEM color.

How to Prepare for Color Coat in Yellow Oxide

• For plastic and vinyl, always use SEM Soap to clean the substrate with a grey scruff pad.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface with an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleaner
• Clean vinyl once more with Vinyl Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean plastic again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Plastic & Leather Prep.
• Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on PVC or ABS plastics, SEM produces Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For TPO, EPDM, PP and other thermoplastics, use XXX Adhesion Promoter or Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
