Use Color Coat™in Red Oxide if you need a mixable, UV resistant, and permanent coating that renews or changes the color of velour, vinyl, carpet, and plastic. OEM suggested, Color Coat features a variety of colors and three different clear coats that may also be mixed to offer thousands of OEM color options in matched formulas. Color Coat in Red Oxide is offered in four different cans: one gallon or 8 oz, 16 oz or 1 pint cone top. Color Coat’s unmatched quality lets you refresh car interiors, and its durability even lets you apply Color Coat to motorcycle seats. Important Facts About Color Coat in Red Oxide

• Even though Color Coat is a coating, as its name suggests, and not a dye, it is not recommended for significantly different color changes.
• Color Coat dries quickly but should not be subjected to scraping or heavy use until 24 hours after applying.
• There is no necessity to thin Color Coat. It is made prepped to apply.
• Vinyls can have large amounts of plasticizers. If so, for a smooth finish they require SEM Tac Free.
• Color Coat Flattener may be applied with all Color Coat intermix formulas to ensure a close match with the original color.

Prepping Substrates for Use with Color Coat in Red Oxide

• For vinyl and plastic, always apply SEM Soap to clean the substrate using a grey scrubber.
• For velour and carpet, clean the surface by using an appropriate carpet or upholstery cleanser
• Clean vinyl again with XXX Universal Surface Cleaner or Vinyl Prep.
• Clean plastic again with Plastic & Leather Prep or XXX Universal Surface Cleaner.
• Clean velour and carpet once more with Plastic and Leather Prep.
• To guarantee adhesion on PVC or ABS plastics, SEM produces Sand Free Adhesion Promoter. For PP, EPDM, TPO and other thermoplastics, use Plastic Adhesion Promoter or XXX Adhesion Promoter.
