DLF2 - DEEP LEATHER FILL 2 - This compound is similar to DEEP LEATHER FILL but is more flexible, feathers better but does not fill as well. Use DLF to fill damage area first, then spread DLF2 in thin layers only, to feather over the edges. This process gives added flexibility for that long lasting repair.

CM-300 - CARPET PROTECTOR- One of our customers has asked for a 21" x 300' with 24" perforations. Available in regular and extra stong adhesive. If there are any products you would like us to stock for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

VELOUR FLOCK FOR CARPETS - You can order extra long Velour Flock to use when repairing holes in carpets. We have white, black, grey, taupe, yellow, red, burgundy. It cost a little more but sure does a better job than the shorter flock.

LEATHER DRY FILL - Use for rips, holes and worn areas where the fibers are showing.
Apply leather adhesive first and let dry. Then apply a thin layer of the LA, dust and mix in the LDF and let dry . Repeat until rip is level. Sand lightly as needed and finish with one of our fillers or topcoat compounds.

WATERBASE AEROSOLS - We have been working on a new button to help prevent clogging. It is available now and will be used for all new product. We also have been experimenting with a BLOW OUT BUTTON to clean clogged cans. It is being tested now and should be ready later this month.

Color Reader

An innovative concept has been developed, offering a new color matching & formula system. This system is fully accessible through a standard internet web browser, via cell phone or computer. A battery operated pocket sized color reader is used to scan the color. Within seconds the color reader accurately measures, identifies and displays a series of color reference numbers. Simply access the web site, input the color reference numbers and select the amount of color to be made (4 oz - 8 oz - 16 oz - 32 oz). From a stored data base of colors and colorants, the specialty-designed software calculates a color formula in seconds. Primary pigments are weighed using a scale with 0.00 oz readings to create the matched color. Add the clear of your choice, mix, and apply color. TECH TIP
We have had many calls with peeling problems on car dashes, especially new Ford and GM dashes. The being a water-base coating that tends to bubble and peel. It can happen by itself or when a solvent cleaner or solvent dye is used.

1. First cool down the dash.
2. Use Sand Away to clean and feather the edges by wet sanding with very light grit sandpaper.
3. Spray water-base Plastic Coater to seal the area.
4. Use Waterbase Spray Grain to texture.
5. Spray with your Waterbase color.

NEW PRODUCTS

• HIGH TAC PRIMER: A soft flexible water base clear tacky primer used to adhere your color on difficult Leather caused from body oils (steering wheels, furniture).
• VELOUR SPRAY ADHESIVE: This liquid is more durable, translucent, sprays clear, dries faster and is stronger than any we have offered yet. Use a hair dryer for the ultimate strength.
• LEATHER CLEANER/CONDITIONER: A leather cleaner and conditioner for coated/finished leather. The neutral PH cleaner lifts away dirt, stains and body oils from the leather surface while the conditioner replenishes the natural oils for a supple feeling leather. Blends in to hide very minor surface scratches, cracks and scuffs. Use regularly to keep dirt and body oils from building up. Does not leave an oily, tacky or gloss film on the leather.
  WATER BASED - SOLVENT/SILICONE/ AND WAX FREE
• CREAM LEATHER CONDITIONER: A deep penetrating leather conditioner for coated/finished leathers. Preserves the leathers original chemistry while it strengthens, beautifies and replenishes the natural oils lost from ageing and wear.   (No topcoat - example: New Buck-Suade-to find out if the leather is non-coated drop a dab of water and see if it absorbs-coated leather will not absorb-furniture and clothing most likely to be non-coated). We now have Aniline Dye for non-coated leather.
• WATER PROOFING ANILINE PROTECTOR - A water based waterproofing and stain resistant protection spray for any uncoated/unfinished leather. Repels water based, oiled based, alcohol based spills and virtually all stains. Retards soiling and allows for easier removal of the soiling when leather becomes dirty. Restores repellency in leathers that have lost theirs over time. Creates a moisture barrier using a microscopic net of flexible polymers that allows leather pores to breathe. Will not change the look, feel, color of texture of the leather.
  SOLVENT - SILICONE AND WAX FREE
• DEEP LEATHER FILL
  This new product is the more flexible, smoother quicker drying than the original compound. We have tested this product over and over and it works Superior!
  

TECH TIPS

Do leather repair without sanding compounds!!!

1. Clean with Z7 Leather Cleaner using a nylon brush. Two applications work the best.
2. Clean with Silicone Wash
3. When cracks are present wet sand with 220 using Sand Away. Make sure you keep the area wet and you will get a slurry area that will make the cracks almost disappear. The cracks are caused by the stressed finish in the leather. Wipe with Sand Away and let dry.
4. Using a plastic spreader put a very smooth coat of Deep Leather Fill if needed. Allow to dry, use a hair dyer if needed. This will fill in any damage that is left after using Sand Away. Repeat if necessary.
5. Using a Bounty Paper Towel wipe Leather Fill wiping very fast back and forth across the repaired area. The Leather Fill will dry almost immediately so be very quick. This will fill any minor imperfections and smooth over and edges that may be left from the first step. There will be times when this step is not needed if there are no imperfections left after the Deep Leather Fill.
6. Use the same process as step 4 only with Leather Cream Fill and this will leave a soft leather feel finish to your repair.
   

With this process you should not have to sand any compounds and have a smooth perfect repair.
Remember to use Water Base Flatner in your Water Base Dye to make the repair area less obvious. If your leather has a grain to it use Water Base Spray Grain or Leather Clone before coloring to get the texture you desire.

Note: When using the Leather Heat Compound for holes or punctures, after cleaning and curing start from step 4 and you can finish the repair the with the same results. One thing you should do after curing the Leather Heat Compound is rub or spray a light coat of a solvent base product (guide coat of solvent dye or Leather Clone) . This will help the Deep Leather Fill stick to the non-pourous product.
